Subject: Medicals done for the 3rd time
  Hi All

Applied Feb2002.

Medicals done although we were asked to wait for medicals, as my lawyer said to go ahead and do the medicals as that would complete the application.

At that time we came to know that my husand had Chronic Kidney desease. Since then he is under the supervision of a speacialist and is stable since then.

Didn´t hear anything back.

Received medical forms again in 2005. In 2005 Jan we were called for interview, which we passed with flying colors satisfying the interviewer in every way.

Sent the FBI clearence.

Then I got pregnant and our medicals expired in the mean time waiting for the visa request. Now after the baby, we did our medicals for the 3rd time, all 3 of us. Also with each medical, a letter from my husband´s speacialist was accompanied as per the instructions of the cad doc.

Now we are at the last stage of hearing back from them. Ottawa must have recieved our medicals by now.

What are our chances despite the fact that my husband has CKD? The nurse at the cad doc´s says that since they have requested the medicals again, that means we will get our visa. Otherwise they could have refused the first time.

We are so confused, I wake up at night with worry on this. Is it advisable to do the CAIPS at this point?

Please advise

When medicals expire its a low level person who requests them again. The odds are not in your favour speaking from past experience.

Wish you luck though.

I have to disagree. When medicals expire, you are being sent new forms and you need to retake them because the medicals expired. That´s it. As simple as that. If there was any problem they would have told you from start.

If CAIPS notes would make you sleep better at night.. go for it!

I believe you will be fine.

Best of luck to you!

The base for my statement in my previous post, is that CIC gave other applicants from other forums a reason as to why to repeat their medicals (like when previous medicals were inconclusive in regards to some condition, or when CIC just wanted to make sure that a condition was stagnant or advancing, or maybe misdiagnosed, or treated).

I believe Gulgeeta´s case is very simple:
She filed in 2002 and attached her medicals, which expired in 2003, of course.
Gulgeeta retook the medicals in Jan. 2005 and these too expired in January 2006.
She just took the medicals for a 3rd time not too long ago to keep them updated, as requested by CIC. So far it is still simple, right? So what makes one think that the odds are not in her favor?

Hi Uniden and Roy

Thanks for yopur replies.

I just hope I get it, It´s been a long long wait. We did our medicals on 21st Oct, typically how soon should we expect a reply?

Is it too soon to get CAIPS done? Should I call Ottawa and ask them if the medicals reached them?

Thanks

I called the number at Ottawa and the lady said that the consulate where our file is (LA) will be informing us about anything.

Atleast before they told me that medicals have reached. Now I guess they must have stopped telling.
