(in reply to: Spousal visa got stuck in Missisauga) Raj slow down and relax.
September 22nd they started processing it says on the web site that they are now processing September 25th 2006 see here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times/process-in.html#perm_res
CHECK YOUR MAIL TODAY!!!!
I can tell you miss your partner but India is faster then many other visa posts so slow down and go for a walk and think what you will show your partner when they arrive.
Hang in there.

visa stuck in Mississauga (in reply to: Spousal visa got stuck in Missisauga) Your timeline is NOT unusual - CPC-Mississauga only processes the sponsorship portion of the application (has the sponsor received notification of approval to sponsor?) After that the application is transferred to the Visa office for the area in which you live - apparently India in your case. Roy says that India is fast, check here for more information on the processing timelines for your particular Visa office: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times/index.html
Also, if you read this guide you will get a better idea about how applications are processed: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3900E.pdf
I understand the waiting is difficult but we all go through it, try to be patient and be informed.
