| Subject: SIN timeline ... What if its Emergency ! |
We are yet to land in Canada. Our visa is stamped .. I am serving my notice period ..... I am looking for jobs in Canada right now ..
If I get an offer how long will it take me to get a SIN #.. is there a way to get it quick in case emergency?

You can start working as soon as you step into Canada, Once you apply for your SIN number they are going to give you a receipt and just show it to your employer along with your CORP. You can start working right away and after a 3 weeks you´ll be receiving your SIN card.

You will get the sin number in 5 minutes cos when you go to the office they fill in all details on the computer , they provide you the print out of the sin number and the card will be mailed to you in 3 to 4weeks .This is my personel experience cos i landed on 14th October 2006
