| Subject: Job markets in Canada and UK |

Does anyone knows or have an appreciation about how good or bads are the labour market in Canada compared to UK in occupations like Logistics (Buying), Business Procees Reengineering and SAP. I have the options to immigrate, and I am particulaly concerned in working opportunities in these two countries.
Any comment, would be appreciated,

This is a difficult question to answer unless closely familiar with your specializations. I can tell you that IT skills such as SAP, Oracle ERP, and PeopleSoft are quite in demand in expanding energy markets of Calgary, Edmondton, and other such cities.
The Canadian economy over the past few years has become very hot and jobs in the right area of expertise are in need and often remain unfulfilled. That´s why the Skilled Worker immigration program.
I doubt the UK labor market is expanding as fast. If moving to Canada is intriguing for other reasons as well, I would strongly consider. You may want to contact a Canadian IT recruiter for an accurate assessment of opportunities in Canada in matching with your skills.

Personally I am moving from the UK to Canada as I am getting married. I would not know much about the Canadian market but I can definitely tell you that the UK market is very good for IT jobs but over the next 5-6 years they are moving them all to India and other parts of Asia.
You need to be aware that specialists are always important but companies invest where their returns are higher.
