after my 2nd interview(security one) 13-aug-2006 , i got this email from the embassy:
Please note that background checks are still in process. This is a legal requirement prior to visa issuance and cannot be avoided. As soon as this step is completed we expect to be able to proceed to the final stage of assessment.
Once issued, the visas will be valid until [March 2007], which is the validity of medical exams.

Pay someone to contact CSIS you may be approved and the results are not put on file.

Hello Mike,
I am in the same situation with yours, i did my medical in much and i am still waiting for the backgroud check. i ordered my caips notes. could not understand some part.
