Subject: Working for US employer from Canada.
If my current employer is willing to let me work from home (Canada) & run my payroll in US (they don´t have an entity in Canada).. what are the legal implications. Is it even possible legally?

I have heard of people living in Canada & driving to us every day for work. Isn?t that a similar situation?

You length of stay and right to enter Canada depends on your visa.

You need to find out who you owe taxes to. Obviously the US, but you may also be liable for Canadian taxes depending on your visa.

What address is your employer using for you - a US address or Canadian? If you are trying to establish permanant residency in Canada, but your payroll address is in the US you may have problems.

I would talk to legal tax and immigration experts in both countries.
