(in reply to: fbi clearance not yet arrived - help Roy or Sharon) Why do you have to submit documents in 1 week? If you´re referring to regulation 11 look at it again you were probably admitted legally for one year and you reside there, or do you?
See (a)
11. (1) An application for a permanent resident visa ? other than an application for a permanent resident visa made under Part 8 ? must be made to the immigration office that serves
(a) the country where the applicant is residing, if the applicant has been lawfully admitted to that country for a period of at least one year; or
(b) the applicant´s country of nationality or, if the applicant is stateless, their country of habitual residence other than a country in which they are residing without having been lawfully admitted.

(in reply to: fbi clearance not yet arrived - help Roy or Sharon) Have you mentioned to FBI that Canada Consular needs that in 3 month or something? in that case, they will process your request quick, that´s happen to my case. Now you have to send a letter to consulate to ask for more time since it is not on your hand yet,but you requested long times ago.

fbi clearance not yet arrived - help Roy or Sharon (in reply to: fbi clearance not yet arrived - help Roy or Sharon) It happened to me last year. I had to submit the FBI finger print + additional docs. to Buffalo consulate by April 14th. So I sent all the other docs except the FBI finger print to buffalo with a covering letter stating it is taking 14 weeks to get the FBI papers and I will send those as soon as I get and currently I am sending the remaining docs. Later after 2 months I got the FBI finger prints and i sent them separately. I had no problem and got everything done and even landed in Canada and got my PR card.
So don´t worry, just send a letter to buffalo and they understand.

Thanks Zorro (in reply to: fbi clearance not yet arrived - help Roy or Sharon) Yes.. I applied 3 months ago. What I meant was that I have now only one more week to reply back (3 months getting over)
As Zorro mentioned, I am going to send the documents without FBI with a cover letter stating my issue.
