hey
after the final approval and the return of our visa, is our new baby born.
we will land in january. can we still add her to the process or do we have to sponser her after we immigrat to canada.
please give some advice.

Did you sent a letter to CIC telling them that you were pregnant and expecting a new baby?

Hi Grossi,
You should seek the advice of an attorney. The CIC insists that you let them know about any status change before you are granted the visa. Are you planning to land without the child ? I am not sure how will it work if you just show up with the child at the border, and I don´t think its a good idea, other people on this forum can shed some light on this...
One thing you need to know is that as a Canadian PR, if you are residing out of Canada, then you cannot sponsor, but if are planning to land and stay in Canada, then you can sponsor your child, but the fact that your child was born before you landed might kinda throw a spanner in the works....

If you are NOT a Canadian citizen, you cannot sponsor if you live outside Canada.If you are a Canadian citizen, you may sponsor a spouse, a common-law or conjugal partner, or a dependent child who has no dependent child of his or her own. You must live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident.
