My daughter is 23 years old and a full time student since the age of 19. She will be a full time student until December 2007. She wants to come live with me once she is finished with university. I have the income to sponsor her as my husband sponsored me and now I am working as well. Can I sponsor her while she is still a student? How does she/we prove that she has been dependent upon parents since before the age of 22? Are there any possible roadblocks to this sponsorhip? Does she have to be a full time student if the applications drags on past the date she is finished with school. By the way, she is a student in the US. Thank you!

(in reply to: Sponsoring 23 yr old child) You can´t. She is old enough to be considered an ADULT. But you can try. Why can´t she find a nice man and marry him and move to Canada with him and start a family?

...23 year old child (in reply to: Sponsoring 23 yr old child) On the sonsoring form it states that the child is considered a dependent if they are 22 or older an since before the age of 22 have been a fulll time student and dependant upon a parent and are still a full time student in a post secondary institution.
