I am planning to go personally to Buffalo to get visa stamped. They do it on Tue and Thu and I will get passports back same day.
Can I land immediately after the stamping ?
If yes, then suppose I get the visa on Thursday and I land same evening, then will I be able to finish all formalities (like apply for SIN, PR card etc) in Toronto by Friday ?

Basically, what are the things I have to do immediately after I land and whats the earliest timeframe I can come back from Canada. Can I finish everything within one business day ? FYI, I have a Canadian address where I can have them send the PR, SIN cards and other communication.

Please advice.

Instead of worrying about leaving Canada as fast as you can, I think it is better for you not to enter Canada in the first place. That way you save a lot of time and money for yourself and a whole lota headache for others.

you might want to give yourself 2-3 days. that is what I am hearing. trying to do everything in one day will probably be a challenge.

Application for PR card will be sent automatically by the officer on the Canadian boarder (you might expect to get it in 1-1.5 months approximately). crossing the border might take up to 3 hours. To get A SIN card- it takes approximately 30 minutes (filling form and waiting in the queue) if tou know where to go to get it. Medicare? I think it´s the longest process and takes 2-3 hours.
So if you will start to do everything in the morning, you might be able to do so. I believe you are aware that most of the ofices have working hours from 9am to 5pm. So, to be on the safe side you will need 2 days

Thanks for your responses....
So, basically SIN application, PR application and Medicare application are the 3 things that a landed immigrant is supposed to do right away I guess.
I am thinking I will get my visa stamped on Tuesday at Buffalo and then land the same day and hopefully complete the applications by Wednesday or Thursday and return back.

Sorry dude, but you are gonna have to deal with the fact that not every immigrant is ready to move "AT THE VERY MOMENT" just because CIC has granted them the visa. We all lead busy lives and I have to get back to my job in the US. I will eventually move to Canada and I assure you it will be a gradual transitional process within the year after I land.

Thanks.

Hey Raj,
remember there´s a waiting period of three months in Ontario before they send you your health card, and you have to demonstrate you are already a resident in Ontario, this means you have to provide some bills with your name on them, after you are fisically present in Ontario, then the three months period starts.
The PR card app is done at the time of landing and the SIN card will take 30 min.
Something important is that you learn the resident rule about how many days you have to be fisically present in Canada in a period of five years to keep your PR status.
At the time of landing they´ll give you a bunch of papers containing info on what you need to do at arrival.

Best of luck
