| Subject: File number and 42 months processing time |

Dear All,
I have received the first letter from immigration after two weeks of submitting my application,stating my file number and telling that i shall not expect to hear from them before 42 months.
Actually i was glad to read that i have plenty of time coz i am not in a hurry to leave the country where i live.
My question is:is that normal and definit time or can take more or less?

Yes your immigration can take 42 months.

I had filed from india and CIC letter mentioned the wait period of 46 months
