Subject: landing and returning same day
Just want to make sure: we want to land and return to USA on the SAME DAY. Does this satisfy the landing requirement? Thanks for help.

Thanks for the info. on Nova Scotia, Bob, from earlier post. Sounds like that´s were you´re settling as well as landing. Another postive for the Maritimes is immediate health coverage. I have heard it´s beautiful along the coast.

We intend to land at Sault Ste. Marie in about 3 weeks, and drive east from there to the Maritimes, then return to U.S., similar to you. Please stay in touch on plans and progress.

So, is it possible to land and return within day or two. My visa will expire on 12/15 and i need to be back to the USA as this my last semester in the school here. Thanks guys i am thinking about using the Thanksgiving Days to fly and come back.

Thanks, Anon.

Good luck, Ali, on your landing.

Richard -- The catferry which sails out of Yarmouth publishes a nice Coastal Discovery Guide which lists attractions, etc., of several of the provinces including Nova Scotia. You can order it online at: http://www.catferry.com . You can also get info about each province by a web search, and some have nice web sites. We are moving to the west coast of Canada (the warmest part of Canada)as we like warmer temperatures, but we love the coast of Maine, and the Maritime area seems even nicer. I want to find out if Nova Scotia has lobster rolls, which is lobster on a hot dog bun without the shell. If so, we´ll definitely be visiting in the summer. I´ll keep in touch.

Remember to give the Canadian Customs an address where you will receive your PR card...

Hi Bob: Are you serious about lobster rolls in NS?!? I´ve seen them advertised on billboards for McDonalds there, believe it or not. I don´t eat lobster, so I didn´t know what they were, but yes, you shouldn´t have any trouble finding them! :)

Thanks, wannabecanadian,
McDonalds has them in Maine, also. It´s the lobster meat without the hassle of taking apart the shells. Try one! Of course, the best place to eat one are lobster shacks or other restaurants serving fish.
