Subject: -- odd question on sponsorship --
i am an American resident married to a Canadian citizen i will apply for outside sponsorship because i reside in the US.
now can i get the medical done here in Canada?
and if i get the fingerprint card (FD-258) can i be finger printed here in Canada then mail it to the FBI i receive all my correspondence in the US, then have a family member mail it to me up here in Canada, so i then can attach it to the application.
i just want to process my application as fast as possible i will be here in Canada for 5 months then will have to return to the US for citizenship process.
also once the final desicion has bin made how long of a time limit do i have once in the US to land in canada, because i have to wait 2 months until i get fingerprinted for US citizneship then i can travel and land and await my oath ceremony to travel back.
thanks.

You can have your nedical done in any country as long as the doctoris a DMP and your prints canbe taken by any company like IFS. You have until your medical epires.

thanks roy
another little question does child tax benefit (cctb) count as income for my wife or is it the oposite (assistance)???
thank you again her total income last year is 12000 on her
taxes that is what it shows, now she has new job that she will be making around 20,000 for the year.
I hear that with spousal marriage they are not so strict with the income, any tips
thanks again.

INCOME IS NOT AN ISSUE WHEN SPONSORING A SPOUSE OR DEPENDENT CHILD EVEN THOUGH THEY ASK FOR IT AND EMPLOYMENT LETTERS AND YES CHILD TAX BENIFIT IS INCOME. IMMIGRATION ASSUMES THAT TWO WORKING ADULTS WILL MORE LIKELY INCREASE THE CDN RESIDENT OR CITZ. INCOME. ODSP OR A DISABILITY INCOME DOES COUNT AS SOMETHING YOU CAN USE TO SPOSNOR SOMEONE AND IS NOT CONSIDERED AS WELFARE.
