ONE MORE THING ROY
is they collected my husband´s passport after his interview in NEW DELHI. is that a good sign? and do you knw how long they can hold on to my husband´s passport? dont you think they have to get back to us ASAP as they are holding on the passport. like wouldnt they think that this person might want to go out of contry as he´s a bussiness man.?

shruti - Roy is not your personal immigration consultant.

We have no way of knowing how long New Delhi will hold your husbands passport. There are not rules around this submect. They really do not care what your husband does for work - they are worried about your immigration process.

Shruti

Sharon is 100% right. I help some people on this forum who get given wrong advice by persons not authorized to give advice. Sharing personal situations when others have gone through the same experience is helpful.

If you really want to help your husband you would of contacted me directly by now. I will be in the office Saturday morning like normal.

The IMM 5475 can be found on the CIC site easily or you could spend some time reading Inland Processing 09 manual.

Your concern is what has the visa post done or not done and possibly what if anything was your husband doing wrong in Canada if his in Canada background checks are taking an excessive amount of time.

Visa post and inland offices use a PA and BF system when they ask for information or send the file to someone else to contact another office regarding the client. Certain things may only take ten minutes but Put Away the file for at least three months before they BF bring forward the file again.

People on this forum live by CAIP´s notes but they take several weeks normally to get.

Go to the CIC site and click about the department and access to information and privacy requests are there and send your PRIVACY request off to the appropriate office and your fax off to CSIS and you should have lots of information within three weeks.

I do understand like others you miss him but somethings are worth waiting for. You just need to try and relax.
