  I got interview date in buffalo. but I can not attend the interview because I left u.s.a now do I have any option left or just have to wait for getting the refused letter? [:(]

[just a little info about me. i went to u.s.a with student visa. and worked off campus. so got caught by ins and got voluntary departure. so I finished my study and come back home. before coming home i applied for Canadian migration through an agent in Canada. now i got interview required notice. now there is no way that u.s.a will let me in, since i worked off campus and got voluntary departure [:D] so now do I have any option? please advice]

AOR ------------------->July 2005
IELTS request-----------> August 2005
file transfer notice----->July 2006

yeah...those Americans take this "working off campass" thing very seriously...but, i don´t see their point! THere are only very few jobs available on campass, and there are sooooo many jobs one can get off campass to support themselves. The little money piles up and even helps in paying tuition fees, all this money goes into the American Economy, anyway, the only answer i have for your question is that you should write to the immigration agent you applied to and explain your situation and maybe they will give you another location to attend your interview. Other than that, i would think that you may just be denied, but, keep your head up man, try it.

Hi,
I have a question for you. Since you worked off the campus did you work on the books?Where did you get the experience nessesary to apply?Do you think I can give them 1099 instead?
Thanks

WhatToDo,
write a letter and explain your sitution,
also get the CAIPS note to see why they called for an interview, so that you can send the necessary documents by mail to clarify their doubt

Good luck

USA SUCKS (in reply to: "INTERVIEW" but can not attend...)
USA SUCKS. thas all we can say. the laws of usa are suitable for ROBOTS. not for human being. doesnt make sence at all stealing or domestic violance is not deportable crime but working off campus is deportable crime what a big joke.

well javez, you are wrong. pitty theft is not a deportable crime. i know many people who are acuused of theft and nothing happened with imigration. and my room mate was acuused of domestic viloance and nothing happen to him as well. where as simply wrking off-campus is deportable crime.
the bottom line is the laws of U.S.A sucks like hell. fuck U.S.A

a charge is different than a conviction. an accusation of working off campus would not result in deportation either. Being caught working off campus... well guilty is guilty.

i talked about convicted person. i know guy who was convicted for theft and went to ins registration and they saw that there and it was not deportable crime. and i already told about my room mate who was convicted about domestic violence and also went to ins registration and it was not deportable. because these are not deportable crime where as working off-campus is deportable crime. and you are saying guit is gult i agree. when some one broke a law he is guilty. working off-campus in canda is allowed so a person wont be guilty there but in u.s.a he will be.
and i believe thas what we were talking about. LAWS OF U.S.A SUCKS LIKE HELL. and so FUCK U.S.A

I think you can transfer the case to your home country. Write down a letter to buffalo office and tell them about your problem i.e you are not in U.S any more. SO transfer my immigration case to my home country. See, if it works.
