We have just got our PR and are planning to go to Canada 2 years later. Are we supposed to pay tax to Canadian government for the 2-year time before we go there?

if you make nothing this two year, you suppose to report world income to CRA, BTW, if you do not want to pay tax, why you want to live in Canada?
I am as a none-PR, I paid close to 1/4 of my income into T4, never wanna avoid this duty man~~

This is so stupid of you to assume people in this way. Why i´m concerned of this is b/c I´m paying tax now in China 35% of my total income. If I need to pay tax again in Canada then I´ll be left with nothing. no wonder you were never welcome in this forum...lol...

IL, have you already landed in Canada to complete your PR application?
If you have and you have left the country you are not liable to pay taxes for the time when you are not resident in Canada. If you live in Canada for more than 1/2 of the calendar year you will be require to pay taxes on your worldwide income. However, the taxes that you pay will be offset by any taxes that you pay to another country. This is done to avoid double taxation.

Katrina is right on the money, IL. You certainly don´t have to pay taxes to a country where you are not a resident.
Departure Bay: For your erroneous assumptions and other malfeasance on this forum, I am electronically deleting your application from the Canadian Consulate. You may obtain the new, short form application from the CIC website and start anew. I trust you will be a good lad from now on.

Do you know what guys...I have been in this site for a year and read the posts from time to time, I have never seen such a weird person like Departure Bay , ...
When I visited some other immigration forums I saw his same questions about his curiosity about his application same shit ...
After reading his posts here as well I would say that person really needs some mental help, ....
