Subject: Canadian embassies in the Middle East
for all of you being processed through Damascus and Tel Aviv - you are in my thoughts as is the safety of you and your home countries.

I think it is inappropriate to discuss the political side of the current crisis in the Middle East. Immigration to Canada is about all people of all races of all nationalities making a new life in a country of tolerance and acceptance. I refuse to discuss otherwise and will request the administrator delete this thread if there is any hint of such discussion.

So far, the Canadian government is not requesting the closure of the regions embassies for staff safety, but that could come if the situation continues or escalates.

If I hear any directives from Ottawa in this regard, I will post.
