Friends,
I have read that the Immigration office will ask for proof of fund when IA is issued also. Does that need to match the amount I showed at AOR?

from what I have been reading (cause this is making me crazy) they want to see some consistency - particularly when you are initially telling CIC how much money you intend to bring to Canada with you. (your first application) which also must meet a minimum. So I would expect they would understand certain fluctuations but you still should be able to show them that your finances are intact.
I have been only dealing with bank balances in our situation and sadly, we keep having to top it up to keep it above the minimum. My guys currency is tied to the US dollar and we are getting slaughtered.

i show them my RRSP balance, they never bother me at all.

OK here is the deal
1. If you have a job secured in Canada - no problemo
2. If not - show at least 60-70% at application stage and then rest at IA stage.

oh, that´s right, I currently work in Canada.
That´s why they never bother to ask me to provide proof of fund. I just show them my lock in RRSP, which is not even half of what it requires, and couple grands GIC, bonds, cash. show them my credit limited and copy of credit socres.

Sharon why you leave your man in limbo? you could contribute to his account and keep it afloat. Why even bother with US currency? After all he is working hard to fulfill your desires!
