Hi freinds,
I have applied for Canadian immi last week. The application was received by Buffalo office and I have confirmation of receipt. I have sent in all documents asked for.
Will my application be given any file number or reference number or something similar?
Also is the application checked for all details upon receipt or will that take time too? In case they need more info I send in after one month, then will my dat eof application change?
Please let me know.

CIC will check the submitted forms and all the supportive docs. If anything is missing (or for more info) they may return your application. If everything is ok, they will send you AOR (acknowledge of Receipt) which will have your file no and receipt of your payment. For AOR they will take 4-5 weeks.
