Is it necessary to show proof of funds while applying to immigration.Can a person show proof of fund before interview or landing as it will take long process to get application clear and in between person specially young can earn and show as a proof before landing.

It is a good idea that the immigration officer has proof of funds before he/she actually does the IA.

Follow the application directions. They require proof of funds when the application is submitted.

sharon that is simply not true..at least in buffalo for 2004 it isn´t. i didnt´ show proof of funds until i did the medicals.

Hey Roel show them the money but you can use it for other purposes while your file is in process... If you are making and saving money, keep it in some account that you can show later, if they ask for it again.... sometimes they do ask you show a new statement, an updated or current one.

they will/can ask for proof of funds throughout your application process. Usually they ask for 3 months of bank statements. They are trying to avoid the use of ´show money´. You borrow for 2 weeks and then give it back. You must prove you are coming to Canada with enough funds to support yourself upon arrival.

in paris, how many times do they ask after the medicals have been done?? in buffalo, i was asked once, not sure if they´ll ask again since i´m waiting for PPR.

I guess it depends on the individual application. we were asked to supply along with the ROLF (which happened at the same time as medicals) so that is almost at the PPR. In all, we were asked 3 times.

I told CIC I am filthy rich. They never asked for a thing! Not sure you could do that unless you are ready to backup your statement if they need proof!
