Hi all!
I am born in Canada and married to a cuban since June 2005. I sent all the papers for Permanent Residency on April 27, 2006. When should I expect an answer as to know if I am accepted as a sponsor? They say 6 weeks, is it accurate or do you think it will take more time?
Thanks for your answers!

what stage r u in (in reply to: Timeframe for cuban spouse visa) were u approved as a sponsor by the feds and QC? was a CSQ issued? was the file sent from mississauga to BIQ and Havana?
Processing tome for spouse sponsorship:
Mississauga - 45 days
Havanda 4 to 12 months. usually it´s fast if all is ok. (this does NOT nclude the 45 days in mississauga and BIQ).
Sponsorship applications can get complicated if the relationship is in question or has no strong evidence that is is a Bona fide relationship. make sure all is in order.

Thanks for your response (in reply to: Timeframe for cuban spouse visa) I have not been approved yet as a sponsor...still got a long way to go I guess! I sent the papers on April 27, 2006. My file is in good order, I have hired someone with experience to help and to do all the translation required. I have lots of proofs (pics, airplane tickets, phone bills, etc.)
All I can do is hope for the best.
