1) make sure you fufill your PR requirements for residence in Canada.
2) once you have your PR card, your wife cannot get out of her sponsorship obligations and she cannot force CIC to change your status - maybe if she could prove it was a marriage of convenience - but even then, I think she is out of luck.

Hey Grew,
She cannot do anything legally against you, on the contrary you can sue her and tell the court that she is not supporting you any more... Hehhe just for REVENGE... see and lawyer and learn what your right are...

Hi grew, I posted a case like this before. When a woman sponsored a guy from Fiji. If she is the one that cheat on you, I think you don´t have to worry. You only get worry when the otherway around. But also this is also depend on the immigration officer

A spousal sponsorship should last for about 5 yrs...if she cancels this then he will have to leave....simple. Why would you want to stay if your no longer together anyway.

I don´t think there is anything that can strip you of your immigration.

I am sure your Canadian wife who sponsored you is concerned about her long term liability for you. How you handle that... and with what degree of civility is up to you. If you do not require government assistance for the duration of her liability - she cannot really complain.

all relationships are a risk and if she was not prepared for this possibility, she should have never sponsored you in the first place. That is her problem - not yours. She is a grown up.
