Subject: Change in job and physical location
  Hi,

I applied at London in Dec 05 and got my AOR in Feb 06. Now I have c have changed my job and my physical address. What all do I need to tell the CIC, London. Please be informed that my correspondence address remains unchanged.

Do they require to be informed of any job change, any new country I visit, any house I change.

Regards

When you change your JOB, you do not have to inform CIC, but when you change your MAILING ADDRESS you must inform them by letter.

Good Luck,

Why isn´t it necessary to inform CIC if you change jobs after you apply? I thought it was required that any new information be communicated to CIC via posted letter. Is it necessary to inform CIC if you quit a job and remain unemployed for a period of time?

Beware of what ICU posts here - at best, it is only half-correct information.

IMO - you should inform CIC of a change in employment AND physical address (but make certain that you clearly relay to the visa officer the fact that the mailing address remains unchanged)

Definately tell CIC (in reply to: Change in job and physical location)
I too have changed jobs since my initial application and I´m in the process of getting all the necessary information to Buffalo.

Think of it this way: what does it look like if you don´t tell them and an immigration officer decides to do a spot check on your place of "current employment" only to find you don´t work there anymore? Worst case senario, you´ll be accused of providing false information.

Do I think it would really be this severe? I hope not, but I personally do everything I can to avoid any complications or delays. The process is already long enough.
