Subject: Spouse Education
Hello everybosy, I also posted the problem of mine and asked for suggetion but I did not get any response. My problem is that I get 66 points sololy. My wife completed her 12 years education (H.S.C. Higher school certificate)in Bangladesh. My query is that whether my wife´s education is equavalant to the 12 years education(trade certificate) of Canada. If it is so I will qualify to apply and my points will raise from 66 to 69. Would anyone please suggest me ragarding this matter, immediately? Please, please.

I think she will get 2 points. For details please see Canadian official immigration website. You will get your answer clearly.

Hello Anonymous, thank you very much for your answer. I have gone through to the official website of Canadian Immigration. It is stated that 12 years education or trade certificate is required to get 3 points. But I talked with some of Immigration consultants and they anwered me that 12 years education of my country is not equavalant to Candanadian eucation. I m confused that where there is stated clearly 12 years education but why they are telling me that 12 years education of my country(Bangladesh) is not equavalant to Canada. I also visited some of the eucatioin website of Canada. But I could not assess the education of my country. Is there anyone who can clarify and explain this matter? Thank you very much for your reply.

Mr. Das.
The best thing will be for you to do the Educational assesment from a Canadian institution or from WES (World Education Services). You will have a good idea about how much is the education valued in Canada.
I think you can proceed after that. All the best.

AOA:
I need help in two issues..

I am applying for canada immigration as a skilled worker alone, can i claim the points for my spouse education while she is not going with me at this stage.

I have done metric privately and after that i have completed my masters regularly, can i claim points for education before metric, bcz i need 16 years education to complete my points.
