Subject: deportation and reentry
My Girlfriend had overstayed her 5 year visa by 2 weeks, and was pulled over by police because of an expired sticker, and deported. She received a paper with her from the government stating that she had not been charged, and was not given a criminal record.

How difficult would it be to get another visa?

Getting deported from Canada is going to be a very serious stickler when it comes to getting another visa. You must have thought about the consequences while violating the other visa you had! Too bad.

I actually had no idea that it had expired, but she must have. However, I also have a friend, whose bulgarian buddy has been deporter 4 times, and he keeps getting back in, so, where´s the logic?

Whoa.. that means there is a definite route to return after deportation. Afterall, things may not be as black and white as they might seem. I know a couple of people who had insignificant violations and were refused visa!

Removal Cost and Consent (in reply to: deportation and reentry)
Depending if your girlfriend drove out of the country or flew by letting Canadian government pay for cost is the correct answer. Was she excluded for overstaying (most likely) then she must stay out for one year. If she was deported for ever UNLESS She is sponsored back as your spouse/partner and she pays $400.00 consent of the Minister to return. No big deal!

Removal cost by plane are $1,500.00 to Caribbean and more anywhere else.

thanks for the reply (in reply to: deportation and reentry)
she was flown out by the government, so what does that mean for her if she wants back in? She overstayed, and received a letter stating that she was not being charged.
