Hello,
Has anyone had delays recently in receiving thier SIN and PR card from HRDC and Immigration office. I haven´t yet received mine.
I landed in Canada on Sun 12th March and applied for my SIN at the Toronto Dufferin Mall HRDC Service center on Monday 13th March. The address provided for both the applications was a friends address in Mississauga, Canada. My friend has not yet received the cards for me.
I called the 1-800-206-7218 and the automated message states since the applications are in bulk it takes approx 4 weeks to get the SIN card. April 14 and April 17 being holidays, I assume my friend should receive my cards at least at the start of next week.
I have read all the info on HRDC and cic.gc.ca websites and there is no other number to get the status of the application.
Anyone in the same situation as me, please respond back.

As of now to my understanding its taking 7 weeks (working days) for PR card, not sure about Sin card?

Olga, The number 800 255-4541 is only valid if one is in Canada and at this time I am in another country.
Any other way other than 1-800 numbers ?

I landed on March 20th and got PR card after 2 weeks. Still waiting on SIN card, was told it would take close to one month at the HRDC.
Jura you should have got your PR card by now....Iam wondering if there is a photo problem, in which case you should recieve a letter.

one more thing ...have you changed your address online in eCAS. Sometimes it helps in changing it online ie. if the address of your foreign residence might still be in the system. Even if your new address was taken by the immigration official at landing, its always good to go ahead and update your address.
