| Subject: going back to canada before getting the PR card___ |

I have to go for a job interview and have not received the PR card yet.
I am in New York city and anyone knows how long it takes to get a travel document?
I am planning to drive to Toronto for the interview, do I indeed need a travel document to go back?
I was there a week ago and did the landing. and I have a multiple entrance stamp on the US Visa.

You can drive back in your own/rental car (non commercial carrier) without a travel document just the copy of the COPR.
17. Do I require a PR card if I’m returning to Canada by car?
The PR card is required to re-enter Canada by commercial carrier (airplane, boat, train or bus) only. This requirement does not apply if you are travelling by private vehicle.
