Subject: Got PPR finally!
  My timeline:
In-Canada applicant to Buffalo, currently on a work permit
Applied July 2004
AOR August 2005
IA April 2005
Medicals April 2005
IELTS, TEF, RCMP submitted in May - June 2005
CAIPS first had BF date for August 2005, then for December 2005
Anxious member of the early 2006 club
e-cas changed to "Medicals received" on March 27, 2006
PPR March 30, 2006 (letter dated February 16, 2006, mailed March 24, 2006)

Going to Buffalo next Tuesday and planning to land on the same day.

Thanks guys for the comments. IDO, they asked for my IELTS and TEF in the IA, which I did not expect. I had submitted a short write up explaining my language skills in both languages but it looks like you have to take the language exam(s) regardless of what you say.

Congratulations!!! Max, did u know who´s your Immigration Officer?

i share the same timeline with u, medical done Apr.27,2005, still waiting for PPR now! My IO is Lisa Holliday.

Hi Anxious, no, I don´t know who my IO is/was. I didn´t even think it was possible to find out that info. Good luck with your PPR!

Hi max...Congrats to u...I have a question pls...I have applied for my Police Clearance Certificates both in US & India. But tht is going to take another 7-8 weeks atleast. I really do not want to hold my application just for this. Is it really critical to submit Police Clearance with application or can be done later? Awaiting reply, pls.

Hi Rads, I am sure this can be done later. I waited for my police certificates from the countries I resided in but, in retrospect, I think submitting my application without them would have been fine. Get your file number with AOR and send your certificates when you have them.
