Subject: HAPPY NEWS FOR ALL
What´s the maximum limit of time to play with someone´s life? I mean a prospective immigrant? 2 years, 3, 5, 8, 10, ...? Can someone claim to the supreme court or the minister to take some action toward an appliant? Please help.

I´m not sure what is your subject title all about but with regards to your question, just by thinking about it, we are not yet Canadians so it would be normal for anybody from their government to not care what happens to applicants. Why would they give squat to people from other nations when they have tons of problems within Canadians and new Immigrants themselves... So I guess who should we blame about our lives in the first place is the leaders of our own government.

Boloxis here i disagree with you because its OK what you said for being non canadian but what for the canadians who are sponsoring their beloved ones. Shouldn´t they have any rights to ask any government body for the delay of their request (for immigration).???? Shouldn´t their own citizens be entitled these rights???

Good point Masood, but I think they already prioritize this case better than new SW applicants, only by lessening 50% of the time frames, I think. I am also frustrated with the time frame of my application, but I know I can do nothing but wait. He´s right though that we are putting our lives on hold just to try to walk a path of frigid ice.

That´s true, but it´s quite natural that people get frustrated waiting forever.
We applied 2.5 ago (SW in Canada), waiting, nothing, and a lot of people who applied a year after, already become the landed immigrants. I understand, that each case is different, but at least one wants to know, what´s going on and why does it take that long, and what can be done.
And even thought we are international, for all these years of waiting (studying and working here), we pay Canadian taxes, Canadian pension plans (total appr. 18% of salary for students and 30% for postdocs, for example) and international tuitions. I believe it must give us some rights and support.

My point is we pay application fee, landing fee, meds costs, many other documents costs, and hence we desreve the right of certainity about our cases. What´s wrong with that?
Delaying cases for falsi reasons should not be tolrated by the head immigration authoroty.

Nobody is playing with your life, it is YOU who give that opportunity to others, they never say WE want to play with your life ...they say ´we need workers and it will be us who will choose what we want and when we want...´ if you have applied for immigration that means you agree with their decision...

If you are not happy with the situation well simply do not apply ...

and keep on smiling wherever you are ...

Take it this way, I open my house to all my friends, BUT I am very careful to let whom I will let into my house...nobody has the right to complain becasue this my house....not theirs...

Hope things works faster for you and you smile soon...

Turkishman, you said: "I open my house to all my friends,... " You already set certain rules - people suppose to be your friends, not somebody from the street. And you solution not to apply if somebody does not completely like the rules is similar to fact that if the person is not you friend that person will never be let into your house, even though in closer acquaintance he/she appears to be a really
good person and could become your friend in the future.
And if rules are set by somebody already, it does not necessary mean that they are perfect. There is always the possibility for inprovement.
And personally I would really want to know: if 80% cases (in Canada) are finalized in 80 months, the rest 20%- is there a time frame or it can take forever, that´s my main concern.
