Subject: company changed name, called for interview
  Hi All

I got the interview letter when i was waiting for PPR. Ordered CAIPS and it showed "applicant indicated he worked offshore" as the reason for interview. When i enquired it seems that the company i worked offshore changed its name. Do you think i was called bcos of that reason. Any ideas? What should i do now ?

do you mean to say, you got an interview waiver before and then they suddenly asked for an interview now?

yes i got interview waiver + meds in jan 2005, had medicals march 2005 and got a request letter to pay RPRF, i ordered caips after wards and it showed BG check in process , in feb 2006 i got interview letter. in the CAIPS there was an additional line that applicant indicated he worked offshore. then when i enquired the company i worked previously had merged with another and changed names.

Please provide more details, are you an in-canada applicant or applying from US ? I have never heard of a case where an applicant is called for interview after it was waived.

Regarding me:

I have done my masters in USA and worked for 2 years before leaving to India where I worked for 8 months and started to work in USA back from August 2005. Do u think they will call me for a interview as it happened to you.

Thanx for the info
Sam

Please give more details on the change. Did the company you worked changed address or tel No.? If the contact information on your reference letter is still valid, it should not be the problem.
