Subject: Detroit inquiry answer
  Well, it´s been a year since AOR, file xfered to Detroit in Jan., and just waiting for IA. So I emailed Detroit politely asking for status. Response was that it hasn´t been 18 month since AOR, so please refrain from asking again until then.

Oh well. Just have to take a deep breath and wait until the time comes.

I guess that means "don´t piss us off by asking too many questions, or else!!" Oh well, i guess we all just have to wait, wait and wait some more

Detroit seems to be extra slow. I thought LA was bad!

Don´t get upset Anon. That´s a generic cut-and-paste answer they send to everyone when they ask for their status. I got that the first time I emailed them about my status. Then I emailed them 2 weeks later, and they told me that my assessment had been done in Feb and I would be hearing from them soon. So, you could be hearing from them soon too.

Ok, thanks for the background Joy. Your expereince makes me feel more positive about the process. Those bueaucratic responses can seem fairly cold, so good to know it´s generic and not directed personally.
