Dear Sharon and other friends,
I am a very frequent visitor of this site and get updated information on different questions on immigration. Well, I applied under SW in mid 2001 from Islamabad and today finally recieved medical papers with interview Waived off I guess.
I live in Pakistan but I have visited canada before for educaiton purpose. I have also been asked to provide RCMP certificate since I have lived in Canada, before. Can some one please help to tell me that how to get RCMP certificate since I am not living in Canada now? Is there a format and guideline that I can down load from some website or ther is some other way out to get this certificate?
Your help will be very useful.

(in reply to: RCMP Certificate needed) Hi Kaleem, I didn´t find any formats either so what I did was to type and print all the info they ask for(reason for application, full name, DOB, mailing address, email, phone and fax number) in a plain sheet of paper, got my fingerprints taken at the local police station kept a copy of the fingerprints and sent both the sheet with the info and the fingerprints to the address in Ottawa noted in the web page. I did it just a couple of days ago so we´ll have to see how that goes.
Good luck.

(in reply to: RCMP Certificate needed) Javier, I think it is a useful information. Did you do this from Canada or some other country.
Thanks

(in reply to: RCMP Certificate needed) I´m glad the info was usefull for you, good luck with that. I did mine from whitin Canada, central Alberta. Another thing I did was to get a local police clearance, filled the forms at the police station and got it right away. So when I send my permanent residence app (Mexico City), what I´ll do is send
-The copy of the fingerprints and
-That local police clearance
-May be a letter explaining that I´ll send the RCMP PCC as soon as I receive it (3 to 5 months??).
I actually picked this tip up from an old post in the forum.
