What additional docs? (in reply to: Got PPR!)
I see that they asked you for additional docs on Oct 05. Could you post what documents were they.

Hey DC I will be in buffalo to stamp the visa on march 28. My medicals were arpril 4th last year so I have to land right away.

Do u think it´s ok for me to wait till march 28 to stamp the visa or should I do it right away. ?

Do they want a bank statement for the visa stamping.?
Are they gonna give me the COPR paper along with the visa?

I will tell u my landing experience after I come back.

I have an expired visa J1 but my I 94 and DS is valid and I hope I can come back to the US without problems. According to the laws I should be able to do that. Have u ever done this before?

Do u recommend a certain border point. I heared the peace bridge/buffalo is the best??

Appreciate continuing response here!!

Q1: The documents I sent in Oct 05 were requested alongwith IA in March 05. These were W2 and FBI forms. I could not send them earlier.

Q2: Main. If I were in your situation, I would go there tomorrow. Visa stampings are done only on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I dont think you need a bank stmt but does not hurt to take a bank stmt, W2, one pay-stub. I am not sure about COPR paper.

You are in a precarious situation with respect to your expired US visa.

No idea about entry point. What I have heard is this that if you are driving into Canada, do that during night time if its not too inconvenient, say after 10pm. Its all empty so does not take any time. Also for customs, you should have two documents ready, one with a list of things you are carrying now, one with a list of things you would eventually bring in Canada. For cars, its preferred to have the VIN#.

Good luck!
