I posted my question about proof of fund yesterday. I received different comments from people. I know the comments are based on individual case. But, could somebody share some experience if you already landed in Windsor by driving a rental car through Detroit? I am going to land in Windsor next week. I had a bank statement and last month transaction history. Is it enough for proof of fund? Please help!

Maple Tree you must show proof that your money has entered Canada, you must show proof that you have transferred your money to canada... Your money outside of Canada no matter you have millions in USA is not the problem of CIC officals... Got it ???

Well, they do ask for proof of funds but in my case they did not take it really serious. It was just a formality by immigration officials. But it is more than $10,000 then custom officials will ask you fill up a form and they will ask you if you have cash or any thing else. I had some cash and rest in cashier´s cheque. she put it on the form and asked me to sign it. Custom officials at windsor are really nice people. But Immigration is kind of rude. But landing is not a big deal. U will be done in 15 minutes. I dont think if your bank statement is going to work, if its your money then get a cashiers´s cheque. good luck
