Just got my passport request yesterday! I read this forum a lot but have never written anything. I really appreciate all of your guys insight and knowledge of this very frustrating process. Thought you might want to see some of my details as a reference.
- US citizen applying as a skilled worker from the US
- no lawyers, completed enitre process myself
- single applicant, no dependents
Timeline:
July 04 - mailed app to buffalo
October 04 - recieved notice saying they had recieved application
November 05 - notice for medical, fees, proof of funds and FBI background check
December 05 - medical completed
Mid Jan 06 - fees, proof of funds, and FBI check sent
Early Mar 06 - Passport request
My online status never changed to meical recieved , still says "in process - app recieved..."
I was very surprised that the passport request had come this quickly after reading everyone´s timelines. Hang in there, I feel your pain!

If I may ask, what has Canada got that the USA does not ? I´m just intrigued to learn that so many US citizens apply to live just over the border.
We received our request for medicals recently, fingers crossed.

Got my passport request yesterday ... !!!!!!! They want me to send pp to HSBC House in Buffalo . Long road has finally come to an end .I was in the class of "early 2006" . So , others should just hang in there .
