I need some help. I am an Indian citizen and have a TRP. I was arrested earlier today while trying to board plane to the States. The RCMP questioned me as well after U.S. Immigration released me on bond. RCMP fingerprinted me and told me that Canada Immigration would also want to talk to me. They told me my paperwork was not in order. I do not understand.

Well, did your canadian temporary resident permit expire? Did you have a valid visa for US? I do not understand how can US immigration arrest you if you are not on US soil.

You have not provided enough information in order to digest your situation.

1. Did you fly from new Delhi to Montreal hoping that you application has been resulted after 5 years ?
2. Were you trying to eat curry on the plane ?
3. Were you trying to get on the plane with a bus ticket ?

if you are in attempting to travel to the US without proper documents you are in trouble with the US. They generally deal with you upon bording of the plane. Looks like your Canadian TRP might be expired or your other documents appear fraudulent?

trying to enter countries without valid permits is a criminal offence.

you dont know that being an Indian citizen you need valid visa to travel anywhere around the world????? If the answer is yes then you better go back to your home country and learn the international laws first. You are crossing an international border and you thought being an indian you are allowed to travel anywhere you want??? come on dude. tell us the full story.

Duval,
It is not about being racist or rude. You are not telling the whole story. How come you attempted to travel to USA without visa? What was in your mind? Don?t you know that citizen of most of the countries including India need visa to enter USA? You are studying in Canada and you?re not aware of the basic immigration rules? I am really sad that you guys put yourself in trouble which could easily be avoided by just collecting little information from internet before your trip. You were boarding an international plane not a local bus for going to downtown. Think about it?. admit your mistake
I really pray that everything goes well for you

Good luck
