My friend is an international student in US and was out of status due to some conditions out of his control. How easy will it be for him to get a student visa for Canada. If he gets admission at a college/university here, would canadian officials in U.S look into his out of status situation. Remember, he is out of status but still has a valid visa to stay in U.S. Besides, how long does it take to get a student visa, from start to finish in L.A.

Your friend won´t be issue visa because they will tell him he didn´t leave when his u.s. visa expired. What is the guarantee that your friend will leave Canada after Visa Expire.

but his visa has not expired, just that he was out of status, which can be re-instated. so, it doesn´t say on his passport that his visa has expired or that he over-stayed or anything
