Subject: Is it possible?
Hi I am Luis E Trigueros, I am a 28 year old Colombian, living in the United States for mor than 5 years. I came to this country with a fiance visa and unfortunatelly, things did not work out so I never got married and I never went back to may homeland.
Actually, I am studying Architecture here in the United States and I am about to finish college. As you may know, it will be almost impossible to finish my career if I dont solve my situation here.
Canada has been a country I admire and I´ve always wanted to know. Now, I want to know if I can migrate to Canada and settle there in order to finish my studies and why not work and make part of the wonderful architectural workforce of that great county?

Sincerly,
Luis E Trigueros

From what you say, it appears that your status in the US is not legal.

If you cannot prove the legality of your status in US and its validity for 1 year when you apply for immigration to Canada, you CANNOT apply for Canada immigration from US.

However, you CAN apply for immigration to Canada from Columbia.

Hope that helps.
