| Subject: Question about work experince |

Hello everyone,
I have a question to ask. I am living in US from last 6 years on student visa. I did work related to my field of studies as I was on student status without work permit. I do have pay stubs and W-2 forms. I applied as skilled immigrant on base of two years work experience which I had while I was on student visa. I know students are not allowed to work without work permit in US. I have received an interview date. I like to know if there will be any problem because of my work experience without proper permit. Thank you very much.

I don`t know the answer but what kind of visa do you have J-1 or F-1 ?

Why do you think working in the US illegally would be of interest to the Canadian immigration authority? The interesting thing is you know you were breaking the law. I see no problem with your interview.
