Help! Can anyone tell me how long it would take to get a temporary work visa after I have a job offer and after HRSDC has it approved?
Does it take long for HRSDC to approve it?

HRSDC approval is 4-6 weeks, with approval if you apply for work permit it will be really fast but depends on where are you applying

no, you have to wait until you have the valid work permit in hand to start working. Actually, the company HR will ask for the photocopy on your first day.

Thanks for the info, one more question: I plan to come to Canada after my wife obtains a temp work visa and is working there. How would I cross the border, as a visitor?

Temporary work permit:
i applied on first week of feb. I was asked to do medical, which I did a week ago and I am waiting.
