If I remember correctly, CanadianWannabe and Skill Worker1 got the interview waiver before.
CanadianWannabe, did they mention what the interview is about? When did you get your interview notice?
I finished my medical exam almost 17 months ago, my CAS is medical result received (Dec 5th, 2005), still now no PR. Background is checking ...

I got the interview waiver with the medical last summer. But three weeks ago I got a letter from Buffalo to appear in an interview. They told me the date of the interview which is in late April. They did not mention what the interview is about, they just said that it is for my pr applicaation. I only lived in my original country and Canada.

did u get single letter or first did they tell u that "canadian consulate" will send a letter and then canadian consulate sent you an interview letter.
For me i got the letter from immigration - buffalo, CIC and they sais transferred my application to canadian consulate.

I got the letter from Buffalo stating that I have an interview at Buffalo and they gave me the date of the interview, all in one single letter.
