after applying to vegreville, what´s next? AOR? after how many days? do they give approval for sponsor first? do they send a letter saying that the sponsor qualifies? or the AIP is the first and only comunication before the PPR?

AIP - approval in principle - after about 7-8 months. You won´t hear anything before this unless you´ve made a mistake in the application. PPR is 1- x months later.

do you mean that for 7-8 months I won´t know my file number and I won´t be able to check when they started to process the application?

Actually, I applied from Quebec so there were extra papers with my number on. I know you can check it before AIP but I´m not sure how - maybe you have a client number on the printed off receipt for the fees?
