Subject: Arranged employment?
After reading an earlier post, I just thought of something. If someone is working in Canada on a post-graduate work permit and their employer offers them a permanent position at the company, does this count as arranged employment? Anybody know for sure? If it does, will it speed up the process?

You will need to get HRDC confirmation though (In case you didn´t know that already).

Unless you get Hrsdc confirmation, it won´t help you

Candice, I think that if the job is given with a post-graduation work permit, then you do not have to show HRDSC confirmation. It´s in the new regulations under the arranged employment section in the Skilled Worker Self-assessment online tool on the CIC website.

This is on the arranged employment page on the CIC website:

You are applying from within Canada and have a temporary work permit that was:

you have a temporary work permit that was exempted from the requirement of a confirmed job offer from HRSDC on the basis of an international agreement (e.g., NAFTA), a significant benefit to Canada (e.g., intra-company transfer) or public policy on Canada?s academic or economic competitiveness (e.g., post-graduate work). 10
