hi
when we will move to canada we will cross the border by our own movingvan....does someone know how exactly the declare of the boxes have to be???
is ist enough to write one a box just "kids clothes" or do we have to write 3 pair socks , 2 shirts ect.ect....
and do they look in the boxes??

you don´t have to declare clothes your kids,you will be ask about listing your electronics stuff and your van!
Don´t worry about Canadian border,it goes really smooth!
Before you start your trip, my advise is double check open hours for immigration officers at canadian border where you gonna pass, because somewhere they DON´T WORK 24 HOURS A DAY although the border is open 24 hours a day. REMEMBER ABOUT IT!IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!

If you are importing your moving van or other vehicles, there are additional steps you need to take. You need to notify the US in advance that you are taking the vehicle out and you need to get a letter from the car company that all recalls have been performed on the vehicle.
