Originally I applied tru Manila, said to be one of the slowest processing center. Five months after sending initial application, received an AOR quoted for 48 months. I heard its even longer for offshore applicants like me.
Now, my application was transfered from Manila to Colombo upon my request and received an AOR from Colombo quoted for 8-12 months :) They have issued it few days after receiving transfered application from Manila. Not bad at all to drop to 8-12 months from 48 months. Now I feel like I drop a post or two instead of waiting for 48 months without hearing anything from them.

Applied in Oct 2000. Recieved letter I was going to be interviewd. Submitted updates Mar 2003 when requested. Again recieve letter I was going to be interviewed. Recieved letter Apr 2005 saying interview might not be necessary and asked to pay RPRF. Then did medicals. Then recieved PPR. Then recieved visas last month. That´s over 5 years waiting... but worth it and glad the process is over.
