Subject: Police Certificate
My husband will sponsor me within Canada as spouse, member of family class. One of the requirements are police clearnces for all countries I lived for more than 6 months. I used to have temporary resident (TRP) and now I was given a work permit. I have lived here in Mississauga for more than 6 months so I will be needing 1 police clearance from here and 1 from Philippines. My question is, how can I get police clerance in Manila when Im here and they will be needing me personally to be there ( i´m not sure of this) because of photo requirement. Anybody here knows what to do?

When they say police clearance from mPhilippines that means NBI clearance.......You may contact Philiipines Embassy Police Section and they will provide you a finger print card. Go to local Police Station and get finger prints done and send to NBI manila along with required fee. And they will send you back the clearance in 2 weeks time. You will get all the instructions along with finger print card from the embassy. Good Luck

Hi richelle,

You need to contact the Philippine embassy.

Here is the number in Toronto: (416) 922-7181

Here is their website link

http://www.philcongen-toronto.com/index.html

They have the fingerprinting form and they will do your fingerprinting too. Please try to call them so you would know what you need to bring before going there...like pictures, passport, etc.

I went to Commissionaries Great Lakes and did my fingerprinting. The staff told me to send that fingerprints with prepaid stamp envelope with my address to the Director,RCMP in Ottawa and they will send the police certificate back to me. Anybody here knows how long it would take for me to get that certificate?

You have to be married first and I believe it should be in the Philippines.
