A Question: after landing in Canada, if one lives continuously in Canada(everyday in Canada), how long does it take to get the Canadian Passport?

You have to be a PR for 3 years continuously in Canada everyday then you can apply for citizenship. That takes about 1 year to complete so you probably looking at close to 4 1/2 years.

Things have not changed all that much. Citizenship test timelines vary quite a bit, even within the same province. I know of one couple who recently completed their residency requirements, then applied for citizenship before heading for the Middle East to take up jobs there. They assumed it would be at least a year before they´d get the test call. Wrong. They had to rush back within four months to take the test.
