Hi Everyone,
I recently started reading some threads here and found the people to be very helpful....I´m wondering if any of you can provide any info on spousal sponsorships..I am from Canada and my husband is in India. Mississauga CIC received my file first week of Dec however I have still not received the acknowledgement / approval letter...is this the usual time line? Before applying, I was told by almost 10-15 consultants/lawyers that it takes approx 3-4 months and we´re now going on the 3rd month with Nothing!! E-cas just says In Process..
Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

They are processing applications that were received up to January 10th. If they received your application before Jan 10th contact them. I don´t remember the fax number for Mississauga. I have the following number written down I think it´s their fax number 905-803-7392, it´s with my immigration papers.

My file was raceived by Mississauga 3 weeks before you and I got my passport request last week!

Anonymous - when did you receive your ackowledgment / approval letter? I haven´t received that yet...
Katrina, I have called CIC twice now and the call center reps are so rude and they give absolutely no info!!
My lawyer apparently has a contact there and she told me that they are running 2-3 months behind at this time..seems like because of the christmas/new years holidays..
I know two other people who sent their file in Nov and their total time was only 2 and 2.5 months! Their husbands were in Canada in Jan!
I am getting sooooo frustrated!

Send them a fax....their website says they are processing application received as of January 10th, you need to get an explanation. From them, they are the ones with posted times and they said to contact them if you do not hear from them within the time frame promised.
So fax mississauga, don´t call the call centre they are marginally useless. Just keep faxing until you hear from them.

thanks katrina, i guess i can do that
my lawyer said she sent a fax approx 1.5 weeks ago..doesnt seem like she heard anything...CIC doesnt get pist off if too many faxes are sent do they?
i checked on the CIC website but found no fax # ..
