hi everyone,
just wanted to post an update on timelines. my lawyer just called me saying that i got my IA from NY. interview has been waived. CIC NY has asked me for proof of funds and medical. thats all!! i came here for my undergrad studies (was 18 back then) and have been working currently on a post graduate work permit after graduating. they did not even ask me for PCC from home or RCMP check from canada. I had applied for them in december 2004 though. well if they change their mind and want it, i will send them. but for now, 2 less things to submit.
i had already booked my medical appointment for next week, anticipating that i will be getting something by mail soon. thank god i got it... my timelines as follows:
applied: mid dec 2004
aor dated: mar 14, 2005
transfer letter to NY dated: Jan 25, 2006
IA: dont know the date but my lawyer received it today by mail.
take care guys.. keep hanging in there. all of you will get it. seems NY is the fastest at the moment!!

Congrats. My files were transferred to Seattle, it seems Seattle is slower than NY
