| Subject: Medical cost for Childbirth in Canada |

Hi everyone, I landed in Toronto in October 2005, but returned to the UK to get some money together before going finally possibly by end o 2006. I am pregnant and not entitled to medical coverage in Toronto. I just want to know if anyone is aware how much it cost to have a baby in Canada. I will like to know the cost for C-section and natural delivery.
I would also like to know how long it takes for the canadian high commission in London UK to process sponsorship applications for children born outside canada to permanent resident parents.

london seems pretty quick... I´ve heard 2-3 months on average for outside applications. (for spouses but i´m sure children wouldn´t be much more if any....)
not sure on the cost.... wish I could help you more.

Hi.
It is a better to have delivery in Canada. baby will be Canadian. If you - OK and you have a time, just wait about 3 monthes in Canada untill insurence will start.
During this monthes you can pay cash every visit (27 - 60$).
I had delivery in BC for FREE. Before I paid cash.
If you don´t have insurence and you have a status in Canada (not visitor) - 1 day at hospital - about 2.000 for you, free for baby; admission charge - 1.000; + 1.200 - epidural, Doctor´s fee - 1.500 (?)
C-section + 1.500-2.000.
+ it depends...
I Know about BC, hope In Ontario ... the same
